Footwear Kayaking
What would you buy for kayaking footwear?
Describe footwear and model if manufacturer is known.
i would go with 2 different kinds of footware depending on if I was kayaking on flatwater or whitewater.
Flatwater I would likely just go with a wetsuit bootie. Just something comfortable that is a little more “plush” than a sock.
For whitewater kayaking, I would wear a river shoe with a semi-rigid sole that has good grip. (I actually have Salomon Techamphibians right now, which are ok, but will soon be searching for something better).
Now, reason being, in whitewater, I find myself outside of my kayak alot more often (grin) and there are a lot more slippery rocks in a river. When I kayak on flatwater, I am usually launching and landing on sandy beaches.
